Custom Song for a Boss or Coworker
A custom song for a boss or coworker lands harder than another plaque or gift card. Specific - the project you shipped together, the thing they always said, the mentorship that actually changed your career - is the gift. Ready in minutes, with team-contribution options for a group order.
Crear su canciónWhen This Lands
A farewell when a coworker is leaving. A promotion from the people they just left behind. A thank-you to a mentor who did the real work of bringing you up. A boss's milestone birthday or anniversary with the company. Retirement after decades - though if that's the moment, our /retirement page covers it in more depth.
Team Order Or Solo?
Either works. One person places the order and collects stories from a few coworkers; the song comes from the group. Or one person writes the song from their own perspective - a mentee thanking their mentor is often more moving than a group vote-by-committee song. Pick what fits the relationship.
For a bigger team gift - a retiring boss, a founder stepping down - the /retirement and /corporate-gifts pages cover the team-contribution flow in more detail.
Preguntas frecuentes
How much detail is okay for a work relationship?
Specific wins. Share the project you shipped, the time they covered for you, the running joke in the team. Keep it professional - but personal detail is what makes a song land. The person at the center should feel seen, not profiled.
Can we play it at the office?
Yes. Share the private link in Slack or the farewell email, play it at the leaving drinks, or print the QR card for a card they open at their desk. Nothing to install.
Is this appropriate as a gift to a current boss?
Depends on the relationship. A thank-you song from a mentee to a mentor is almost always welcome; a surprise song from the whole team to a current boss can land oddly if the dynamic isn't right. Use your judgment.
